Jarg Geismar: Lost in Berlin / Lost in Tokyo

nullLOST IN BERLIN / LOST IN TOKYO is a new installation on two floors with drawings, photos and films by the German artist Jarg Geismar.
Geismar was born in Sweden and studied at the Academy of Arts in Dusseldorf and The New School for Social Research in New York.
He received scholarships by DAAD, Fondation Cartier, IASPIS, AIAV and has participated in international exhibitions like the Venice Biennial, P.S.1 Museum New York, National Museum of Modern Art Tokyo and Kyoto, ARKIPELAG, Cultural Capital of Europe Stockholm, Liljevalchs Konsthall Stockholm, Le Magasin Grenoble, Joan Fondation Miro, Barcelona, Kunsthalle Dusseldorf, Kunsthalle zu Kiel, Prefecture Yamaguchi Museum of Art, Sagacho Exhibit Space Tokyo. His works are in public and private collections.
Representing Galleries are L.A. Gallery Lothar Albrecht/Frankfurt, Gabriele Rivet Gallery/Cologne and Jiri Svestka Gallery Prague.
This exhibition is part of the Deutschland in Japan 2005/2006 and supported by the German Embassy Tokyo and DaimlerChrysler.
